Hi Blogger,
I have covered a lot of information about search engine
optimization so far. Now I’m going to discuss some technical guidelines which
should be followed while webmaster doing SEO to their websites. Without keeping
an eye on a few technical things, you could watch the hard work you put into
optimizing your website go to waste — like a leak that ends up sinking an
otherwise seaworthy vessel.
Avoid Cloaking: - webmaster should
prevent their websites from cloaking which means showing different thing to
customer and search engine.
Use Redirects Properly: - when webmaster need
to move their website to other URL then they have to make sure the URL they are
moving must be appropriate to user. They should use 301 redirect
Prevent Duplicate Content: - within the
website there should not be any duplicate content and should be different URL
for different page of content.
Create a Custom 404 Error Page: - when some user
of the websites searches something in website and unable to find particular
thing then he literally go back and find some another websites. Preventing websites
from this webmaster should design their own 404 error message.
Watch Out for Plagiarism: - Exact search Method
and copyscape are to methods to find out someone is stealing details from our
website or not. It needs to be cured before website considered as duplicate
content website.
Protect Site Performance: - page loading time
and server speed of the website affects the sites to be ranked. If the page
loading time is less than spider needs more time to crawl which ultimately
decrease the rank of their website.
Use robots.txt appropriately: - the first
thing search engine do when it arrives your website is go through the robot.txt
file which guides search engine what things can and cannot be crawled. So, webmaster
should be very careful while using robots.txt file.
Be on the Lookout for Hacked Content &
User-Generated Spam: - Hacked contents are content which that placed on the
websites without webmaster’s permission and create some bogus pages, text etc.
which looks malicious initially but harmful for websites afterwards
Use Structured Data: - This data can be very useful for
visibility of the websites. If you put structural data like additional bits of
HTML code, search engine read these things and learn more about website.
