Monitoring SEO progress

Hi blogger,
I already discussed about how to develop SEO technique and guidelines which should be followed by webmaster while making optimization. Now, in this blog I’m going to discuss about how to keep track on SEO progress. After webmaster set up their websites they have to make sure that their website achieves result for what it is made of. For that they have to monitor the whole SEO process and keep adjusting it to advance or maintain their ranking.
There are actually three performance indicators which helps webmaster to monitoring their SEO process
  • How to watch your organic traffic
It's possible to know about the users coming to your website — not only how many people visit, but also general information about them (geographic area, browser, device type, etc.) and what they do on your site (such as where they come from, what page they land on, how long they stay, and what they do during their visit). This isn't science fiction; it's analytics. Google analytics is used for getting this kind of information.

  • How to monitor search engine rankings:-
It’s important to monitor the search ranking of your website and it isn’t the best way to measure SEO success. It is useful as an early-warning matric. Sometimes there is traffic and revenue in your website but your ranking might go lower. That’s because you won’t get much organic traffic unless it’s on the first page of web results.
  • How to track conversions (transactions)
You'll need to decide which specific metrics you need to watch to see how your website is performing. Google analytics can be used to track conversions
