History of Search engine optimization

I already introduced my topic Search engine optimization and already discussed some basics about SEO. Now in this blog I will provide you some information about history of SEO.

Site optimization started in mid-1990s when first search engine were cataloging the early web. On the starting of optimization of sites, the entire webmaster has to send their URL link to search engine and then search engine sends spider which crawls all the detail about every pages and link which is provided in their respective site and all this details extracted from this page is to be indexed. Spider which is sent by search engine actually saves that page into server of search engine and there is second program called indexer actually takes out all information about where it actually located and all the links provided in the same page and weight for specific words.

One industrial analyst Danny Sullivan said that the word “search engine optimization” first comes into use in 1997. There was fail attempt of making SEO as a patent in 2002 but then it was come up that "SEO" can't be trademarked when it refers to a generic process of manipulated keywords, it can be a service mark for providing marketing services in the field of computers.

Google was found out by two analysts: - page and brin. It was using particular algorithm for ranking the websites. Then after some time some leading search engine such as- Yahoo, Bing came up with own algorithm of ranking the sites which they denied to disclose to the public. Day by day website number has been increasing which forces search engine to use advanced tool in search engine optimization which ultimately put more stress on new website builder because they have to design their website thoroughly with proper link, proper content if they wants to survive in the competition of higher ranking.
